Hey DAD, it's been 8 very long and lonely years without you here since you've passed...to this day I still can not believe that you are gone..I think about you every single day and there is SO MUCH MORE I wish I could have got to do with you and tell you..I hope you and mom are watching over me because my life surely has been a trip and I'm still buckled into this thing...I still do and always will listen to the wonderful music you thought me and watch MARVEL movies and LORD OF THE RINGS that makes me think of you every time..so much of my personality came from you and I ALWAYS make sure I tell EVERYONE just where I got most of it from..you was one of the most loving caring souls to ever walk this earth.. and the ABSOLUTE BEST FATHER I COULD HAVE EVER HAD...I couldn't imagine what my life would have been like if I didn't have you as a father but I will tell you now it's a life I am so very glad I didn't have...I'm going through a rough time in my life rite now but I still think about making you proud of me every day...I also want you to know that I did get to take you back out to California to see Dave and Alyse and that part of you is still there..also Dave made sure you got to go in the water as well lol...I know you would be very proud of me for not drinking anymore either I know you worried about me a lot..I wish I could hear your voice call me the boy just 1 more time..I had no idea people could post on here like this but since I know this now I will most definitely be on this a lot more...all of my friends still love and miss you as well..you left a "mark" on so many peoples lives in the most happy and wonderful way possible...the has never and will never be another human being like you dad you was truly one of a kind and you gave me an AMAZING CHILDHOOD and life in general and I could never begin to thank you enough for everything you have done for me and many others..I love you dad I miss my best friend please tell mom I said hi and I love her and tell Connie me and Courtney love and miss her bunches...tell God for me I'm trying I really am ok lol I need to make it up there with you guys..but for now just go kick it with god and jam some REO Speedwagon and smoke a fatty...I hope to see you again one day dad I love you and miss you very very much

Mark was my best friend and a constant, much needed person in my life. We were always there for one another through happy and sad times. Laughed so hard we cried many times since 1998! I never wanted to think of what life would be without him in it so even now it seems like a bad dream not a reality...I love and miss you Mark and always will. I wish you could've pushed the "pause" button this time...

Mark was our best friend for 30 years. Dave and I are going to miss you everyday! We love you and Jeremy and always will. We have many many fond memories. I know you have Janet and many family and friends to greet you and guide you through this journey....and probably some kitties too! Peace & love always, and I will give the kitties hugs and kisses for you, as usual.....

It has taken me a long time to post this for Mark. I was very close to Mark, we met at Rhietone on Illinois ST. working together in early 80's. Mark would come by my house every single week on his day off and spend time with me and my family watching music videos of ZZ Top and Alice Cooper. Mark thank you for your unconditional friendship like I have never experienced anywhere else in my life.
I have faith that some day I will see him again in Heaven! I love You Mark

Seems like yesterday that we were all teenagers having fun. The 60's blended into the 70's, 80's & 90's & life raced at breakneck speed. God Speed be with you Mark, you will be missed but your memories are golden. Say hello to Janet, Billie, Connie & Zebbie for those of us earthbound!

Well Uncle Mark, I can't believe you are really gone. It's crazy to think some one you love can be gone the next day. I wish you were still here. I love you so much, please give Janet a kiss for mom. Rest in peace, I love you.

Such a great loss. Mark was a lot of fun to work with for many stressful years at the
Star and News. He could work circles around anyone. Rest in peace Mark.

I worked with Mark at the Gannett Imaging and Ad Design Center in the Indianapolis Star for last 7 years. He was a great man, who always had an interesting story and who always made those around him laugh. He will truly be missed.
