Teresa Verona Torres, 72 of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022. She was born on Saturday, April 29, 1950, in Pinar del Rio, Cuba to Ernesto Torres and Fidelina Sotolongo.

She came from Cuba and started residing in Lafayette in December 2012, she was a member at Eglesia Caridad del Cobre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Torres and Fidelina Sotolongo, husband Basilio Gamez, 2 sisters, Clara Torres, and Tomasa Torres

She is survived by 3 sons Basilio Gamez, Norberto Gamez, Leosvaldo Gamez, daughters Yusimy Gamez, Oneyda Gamez, brothes Ernestino Torres, Sergio Torres, Pedro Torres, Jorge Torres, Baldomero Torres, Eladio Torres, sisters Nereida Torres, Eloisa Torres, Marilin Torres, 15 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

She is missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 6, 2022; Usher Funeral Home 11 am to 5 pm
