Sally Jo (Mingee) Kaesel

Sally Jo Kaesel, 65, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Franciscan Heath.

She was born July 31 1960, in Crawfordsville.  She was the daughter of Edgar Orville Mingee and Lela Claire (Hatch) Mingee who have preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ladonna Petrey; brother, Edgar Mingee;  brother-in-law, Leonard Petrey;  and her first husband, Robert Rogers.

Sally loved to serve and worship the Lord and she had a kind soul. She never hesitated to help others in need. Sally had a love for cats and enjoyed volunteering her time at animal shelters. She enjoyed singing songs.

Sally married Robert Dean Rogers in April of 1983 until he joined the Lord. She married Lawrence “Larry” Gene Kaesel, who survives. Other survivors include her brother, Robert Mingee Sr.; stepdaughter, Sandra (Shannan) Martin; nieces, Rebecca (Terry) Scaggs, Autumn (Mingee) Lyon, Mandy Petrey and Ashley (Caleb) McClung;  nephews, Jacob (Taylor) Petrey and Robert Mingee Jr.; step granddaughter Whitney Rogers, and many other great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation for Sally will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Usher Funeral Home, 2313 W Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222.  Funeral Services will be at 12PM, Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Usher Funeral Home.
