Richard William “Rick” Fryer of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully Tuesday June 24th 2025 at home surrounded by those who meant the most to him; his immediate family.
He was born October 14, 1950 in Shelbyville, Indiana.
He graduated from Shelbyville high school in 1969 and married Susan on July 29, 1972. He resided in Indianapolis his entire adult life. Rick became a journeyman roofer working 10 years for Roofers Local 119 employed with Blackmore & Buckner. Rick started Fryer's Landscape & Lawn Care in 1986 until retiring in 2012. He has been a member of the White River Yacht Club since 1980 and Millersville Masonic Lodge #126.
Rick is survived by his wife Susan, son Kevin, his wife Danielle. Grandkids Charlie, Chase, Drew & Jordyn along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 2 sisters. Rick has felt blessed to have Susan's family embrace him throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew James.
Funeral services are 2pm Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Visitation will be from 12pm until the time of services in the Good Shepherd Chapel. Pallbearers are Kevin, Chase, Drew, Charlie, Tommy and Cody.
