Martha Diane Wilhelm

Martha Diane Wilhelm, 72 of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024.  She was born on Monday, April 23, 1951 to Paul and Martha (Cochran) Wilhelm Sr., in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She attended George Washington High School, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class.  She then went on to pursue a career at Indiana Bell as a Senior Technician for many years until her retirement.  She was a member of Hawthorne Community Church and We Care. She spent a lot of her free time after retirement volunteering in her community to help others.  She enjoyed writing poetry, planting flowers , going on long walks and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Paul and Martha (Cochran) Wilhelm Sr.; siblings:  Paul Wilhelm Jr., William Wilhelm, Wallace F. Wilhelm, Gertrude L. Canner, Pauline Gieseking and Mary L. Pritchard.

She is survived by her two sons and two daughters:  Dale Wilhelm, Benjamin (wife Jinny) Wilhelm, Monica Wilhelm and Michelle Wilhelm-Klindt.; grandchildren:  Brandi, Brayden, Chase, Samarah, Gabe, Gavin, Ezekiel and her fur grand babies.; multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held 5 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Usher Funeral Home, 2313 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46222
