Marilyn Kay (Carpenter) Ripley, 79 of Indianapolis passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born on Wednesday, May 9, 1945 to Charles H. and Juanita A. (Jennings) Carpenter in Indianapolis.
She absolutely adored her grandchildren, and had a great sense of humor, always found a way to turn something dark into light, she always had a positive mindset. However, the way to her heart was a cold Coca Cola and a box of Cheez-Its. She loved her soap operas and never missed an episode. She enjoyed Christmas time and watching all the holiday movies and decorating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ricky Cardwell, her parents, Charles H. and Juanita A. (Jennings) Carpenter, 3 brothers Charles Carpenter, Thomas Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, sister Monica Carr.
She is survived by her 2 sons Danny Ripley, David Ripley, 3 grandchildren Devin, Keilani, Declan, and extended family and friends. We all will miss her deeply, especially her laugh and she was so loved by many.
Visitation will be held 11 AM to 1:00 PM, Service at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Usher Funeral Home, 2313 W Washington St., Burial following at Floral Park Cemetery.
