Louis J Albrecht

Louis J. Albrecht, 88 of Speedway, Indiana passed away May 22, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn "Jean" Albrecht; brother, George Albrecht; granddaughter, Stephanie Henry; great granddaughter, Hailey Harter.  Lou was retired from Allison Transmission, Plant 5 where he worked as Gauge Inspector.  He retired after 40 years service.  Lou was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and of the American Legion Post 500, Sons of the American Legion.  He was also a 4th Degree Member of the Bishop Chatard Assembly and of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council #3682.

Survivors include his sons, Michael J. Albrecht, Brian Winslow Albrecht; daughters, Marie P. Albrecht Rexroat, Annette Schmidt, Jacqueline L. Ward, Denise Kaye Albrecht; brother, Paul E. Albrecht; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 11am Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Christopher Catholic Church.  Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation is from 4-8pm Tuesday at the Usher Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus rosary service will take place at 7:30pm on Tuesday.  Memorial donations may be made to the donors favorite charity.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
