Larry Lee Sears, born to Lorene and Donald Sears on July 1, 1941, passed away peacefully in his home on February 16, 2026. On this day, he was reunited with the love of his life, Jacqueline Joyce who preceded him for her place with God in eternal peace.
Larry leaves behind six children; Peggy, Penny, Lori, Brett, Bart and January. We are comforted in knowing that our parents are now together and at peace; most likely winning all the Swing Dance competitions that we imagine they are participating in. Along with The Mills Brothers albums or the 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' musical on repeat while our Mom is, no doubt, rolling her eyes. Together, once again.
Larry also leaves to this earth his four siblings, Steven, Mike, Paul and Andrea. His beloved 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 2 unborn Great-Great Grandchildren.
Larry Lee Sears was a proud Navy Veteran serving on the USS Thornback (SS-418). He and his brother Mike (Army Veteran) participated together on the 'Honor Flight 2018' from Indianapolis, IN to Washington, DC.
We, the descendants, will be the carriers of the family story. We will tell these stories, we will be the lighters of the fires to remember and to pass along to the living and the coming generations, with honor.
Services will be held at Usher Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, February 20 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
