James Ernest Rogers

James E. Rogers, 52, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, August 17th, 2024. Born on Wednesday, April 12th, 1972 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Hiram Ernest Rogers Jr and Frances (Radi) Rogers. 

James was a self-employed carpenter and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving father to his sons Hiram "Little Jimmy" Rogers, Michael Rogers, Jesse James Rogers, and Francis Rogers, and daughters Crystal Rogers, Jaymie White, and Anita Rogers. He is also survived by his sister Mitzi Rogers, and grandchildren Joshua, Ellador, George, Gary, Enaiah, Phoenix, Augustus, Ophelia, Wrenlee, Alexa, Thomas, and Vivian.

In his free time, James was a loyal fan of the Indianapolis Colts and had a passion for classic rock and roll music. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents Hiram Ernest Rogers Jr and Frances Radi Rogers, and his sister Monica Rosales. He will also be reunited with his beloved dog, Cinnamon.

Arrangements are being handled by the Usher Funeral Home in Indianapolis.
