James Dewey Cooney

James Dewey Cooney, 81 of Mooresville passed away on May 24, 2025 at Miller's Merry Manor in Mooresville, IN.  James was born December 5, 1943 to Clarence and Sally M Cooney, who have preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Johnson and Steve Johnson;  He is survived by his brother, Mark (Julie) Cooney, Paul (Lora) Johnson; sister, Mary Ann (Mike) Moore; brother in law, Jerry L. Huff; special grandson, Alex Drabing along with many nieces and nephews.  

James has worked as a clerk for Red Barrell Liquors in Mooresville.  He was a member of the VFW Post 1111, The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mooresville and The Sons of the American Legion, Post 103 in Mooresville.
