Eric Calvin Petty Jr.,41 of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born on Friday, June 17, 1983 to Eric Calvin Petty Sr. and Susan Marie Ade in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Many of us knew Eric Petty Jr and knew he was 100% of family man. He loved being with family and love the hell out of his four kids Haley, Madison, lil'Eric and Wyatt Petty. Those four was and will always be his world. Eric was a big man as most of us know, the ones who really knew him, knew he was a big teddy bear at heart. Don't get me wrong the hulk would and could come out at any given time. Don't worry as long as you didn't mess with his wife, kids and his family, you were in the clear. Sorry to the ones who didn't see the signs of the hawk coming out. Ha ha..no I'm not it happened for a reason. Eric loved being outside even though he complained and hated the heat for the good first hour we were there and then he was good. Camping, fishing and music was just go to thing. And he was hella good at all of it. Eric love being with this family and friends making memories and most of the time him being crazy. You will be deeply missed, you will always be loved by many, many people. Catch your other fish your heart desires babe. Have a blast and live your best life up there, til we meet again

He is survived by his wife Daniale (Gilstrap) Petty, 2 sons: Eric Calvin Petty III, Wyatt Petty, 2 daughters: Haley Petty, Madison Petty, Father Eric Calvin Petty Sr. and Mother Susan Marie Ade, sister Vanessa Wratten 2 brothers: Anthony Nujent Jr., Peyton Nujent, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held 10 AM to 1 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Usher Funeral Home, 2313 W Washington St., service will be at 1 PM Usher Funeral Home, following by burial at Floral Park Cemetery
