Edmond Jarboe Obituary

Edmond Joseph Jarboe, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Ed was born February 8, 1932, in Indianapolis, the son of Paul and Blanche (Ogle) Jarboe. He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the Army and Marine Corps, during which he had two tours of duty in Vietnam and finally retired from the military in 1972.

On October 8, 1983, Ed married Ann Herber and the two of them enjoyed many years of traveling to all 50 state capitals as well as the major cities of Europe, Egypt, and the Holy Land. A voracious reader, Ed particularly liked histories, biographies, science and religion – and of course his Friday night mystery.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Paul R. Jarboe. He is survived by his wife, Ann Herber Jarboe, sister Jean Knarr (Ron), and sister-in-law Tess Jarboe. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
