Dawnielle Renee (Townsel) Heckman

Dawnielle Renee (Townsel) Heckman was born on March 14, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dawnielle was such a sweet baby, she gained the name "Sweetie." The name Sweetie stuck with her until the day. Sweetie was a fun-loving, free spirited person. She was always laughing, telling jokes, and keeping others encouraged. Sweetie was known for always helping others. She was spontaneous and a blessing to everyone's heart. 

She obtained her Associate's Degree in nursing from Kaplan College where she graduated with high honors. Sweetie went on to receive her phlebotomy degree in 2008. Dawnielle entered into holy matrimony on July 12, 2006 with Jonathan Cole Heckman. From this union two daughters were born, Jonelle Rose-Ann Heckman and Jasmine Almyah Renee Heckman. Sweetie and Jonathan were together for fifteen years. 

On Monday, February 8th, 2021 Dawnielle departed from this life. Those left to cherish her memory are her soulmate Jonathan Heckman, her daughters Jonelle and Jasmine, her mothers Mrs. Patricia Townsel and Miss Deitra Green, two grandmothers, eight sisters, and two brothers, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Her father, Milton Bruen, preceded her in death. She will never be forgotten. 

 "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

On Monday, February 15, 2021, visitation for Dawnielle will be held at the Usher Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. At 1:00 P.M., we will have a service at the funeral home. After Dawnielle's funeral, we will be meeting at Floral Park Cemetery, her final resting place, at 2:00 P.M.
