Carl William Lentz

On February 3, 2023 Carl W. Lentz passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family.  Carl was 92 years young.

Carl was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis.  He was a graduate of Holy Cross grade school and Cathedral High School.  After graduating from Cathedral he attended Xavier University for two years before joining the United States Air Force.  He married his loving wife Patricia Free in February 1952.  Patricia survives Carl.  They would have been married 71 years February 9th.

He is also survived by four children:  Bob (Patsy), Kathy Kotarski (Vince) Jane Jones (Steve), Beth Gowasack (Brian).  Carl and Patty cherished the company of (11) grandchildren and (23) great grandchildren.

Carl worked for Kraft Foods, Pacific Mutual Life and retired from McCready and Keen Pension Consultants.  Carl enjoyed 30 years of retirement.

His life pleasures were God, family and all things sports.  He was an excellent athlete in his younger years and played golf regularly until the age of 88.

Services will be held on Monday February 6th at St. Augustine’s Home For the Aged, 2345 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN.  Viewing will be at 9:30 a.m, Rosary 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
