Andrew Joseph Cardwell

Andrew Joseph Cardwell passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 48. He was born in Indianapolis, IN July 16, 1977, to his parents Pamela M. (Hoaglan) Wardell and Rickey L. Cardwell Sr.

Andrew was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, IN, and a proud graduate of Broad Ripple High School.

He is survived by a large, loving family, including his sister Lisa Moore, half-sister Becky Cardwell, step-sister Patricia Kinnison, brother Ricky Cardwell Jr., half-brother Jessie Cardwell, aunts Linda Lawrence, Kathy Thompson, Julie Slovekosky (Kenneth), Brenda Cardwell, and Tina Cardwell, uncles Larry Cardwell (Kelly), Frank Cardwell (Kim), Tim Hoaglan (Marion), Ed Hoaglan, and Danny Hoaglan, nieces Justine Stinnett and Keyanna Parrot, nephews Bryan Moore and Michael Parrot Jr., great-nephews Ethan Stinnet, Clayton Stinnett, Jonathan Stinnett, Michael Cardwell, Stanley Cardwell, and Colton Cardwell along with numerous cousins.

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Rickey L. Cardwell Sr., his mother, Pamela Marie Wardell, and his step-father, Jesse Wardell. He now joins them in peace, along with his grandparents, affectionately known as Grandpa and Grandma Cardwell, and Grandma and Grandpa Hoaglan.

Visitation will be held at Usher Funeral Home in Indianapolis, IN on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A graveside service will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

Andrew's family extends gratitude to all who have shown support and kindness during this difficult time. Arrangements are being handled by Usher Funeral Home. Though Andrew has left this world, his memory will forever reside in the hearts of those who loved him.
