Allen Eugene Akers, 28, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on February 7, 2021 in Indianapolis. Allen was born on May 1, 1992 in Valparaiso, Indiana to his parents Robin Louise (Todd) Tharp and Terry Eugene Akers.
Allen had a gigantic personality and celebrated many hobbies. Allen was a mechanic by trade, enjoyed wrenching his tools, working on cars, trading and bartering, making an honest living, playing video games, and dabbling in multiple genres of music. He was an herbal enthusiast known for smoking Newport Menthol cigarettes and for being a “cat whisperer,” with a natural connection to animals, especially cats. Allen was a kindhearted man who never met a stranger and was willing to take the shirt off of his back for another. Robin called him her “butterfly child” as he was a vibrant social butterfly. Allen absolutely loved people, especially his family.
Allen is survived by his brother David Bennett (Nichole), sisters Emily Brady (Shane), Brianna Bennett (Korey), mother Robin Tharp, stepfather George Tharp, and nephews Giovanni Brady and Loki Bennett.
