Obituary

Virgie Emmajean Quagliese, 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on November 25, 2020. She was born on June 6, 1930 to parents Elmer Kayse and Nora Slayden in Smithland, Kentucky. She came to Indianapolis in 1992. Virgie was an accomplished beautician who owned her own shop in Memphis and served in multiple communities in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Missouri. She loved to read, watch cooking shows, cook, and listen to music. She was once Miss Kentucky Dam.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gus Quagliese, sister Else Viola Boals and brothers J.L. Kayse, Ewing "Doc" Kayse, and Elmer Kayse. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Burkeen of Clayton, Indiana and her brother Paul David Kayse of Moultrie, Georgia, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome to visit the Usher Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Virgie's funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M.
