Una Pearl Penfold, 84, of Newcastle, passed peacefully on July 15, 2022.

Una was born in 1937 in Wiltshire, England to Eric George and Agnus (Morris) Harris. She immigrated to the United States in 1967, landing in Indianapolis with her family of four.

She was a talented knitter and seamstress and a beautician with a home salon. She worked quality control when Sikorsky helicopter gears were made in Indiana. She was an original member of the "British & American Soccer Club" and those relationships helped fill the gap felt with family far away.

She enjoyed the game of golf and spent many pleasant hours on the course with her friend Ann. She loved a good bargain and a good cup of tea.

She took great joy in knowing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an especially close relationship with Crystal, who is a true example of love in action.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie and Lorraine; by her grandchildren, Crystal, Dennis, Lindsey, Adrianne, Emily, Sarah, and Danny; by her great grandchildren, Christina, Emma, Bella, Jamison, Lani, Layla, Sawyer, Murphy, Laci, Nick, Delin, Maddie, Bently, Kaden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and former husband, Dennis.

A family memorial service will be held.
