Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Stephanie Jones, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Stephanie was a Project Manager at Indianapolis Marion County Building Authority. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Cooper, siblings Mary Anne Thomas, Susanne Hickman and William Cooper, nephews Brandon Vincz, Jason Cooper, Enrique Hinajosa and Wylie Scotten, and niece Jessica Williamson. She is survived by her husband, Jim Jones, son Blaise (Kaylin)Vincz, daughters Jennifer Jones, Katelyn (Mitchell) Matthews, grandchildren Haley Jones, Adelaide, Dietrich and Lotte Vincz, and Eli and Kora Matthews, siblings Dan (Kay)Cooper, Annette Danielson, James L Cooper, Teresa (Dennis) McKamey, Donna Paxton, Jill Cooper and Chris Culver, and Michael Cooper, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Stephanie's happy place was the Indianapolis Zoo, which she visited often. She was at home in her kitchen and garden. She never missed the opportunity to cook for family gatherings, or to make pies for family and church members. Her pecan pie was unparalleled.  Even up until the end of her battle with cancer, she would promise to make people she loved something great from her kitchen, and it was always great. She was a loving empath that cared about everyone. She was deeply connected to her church and family. Stephanie's gardens were always beautiful. She believed a house was not a home without fresh cut flowers everywhere. She never failed to bring flowers to anyone she visited. She was a kind pure soul who left an indelible mark on the places and people who were lucky enough to know her. She will live forever in all of us.
