Shawn Michael Elsts, 60, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 19, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 17, 1960 to his parents Alix (Perreault) Elsts and Peter Elsts. Shawn was the second born of six children and is survived by his siblings Michelle, Debbie, Peter, Laura, and Jason. During Shawn's lifetime, he would work various jobs alongside his brother Peter. He is also survived by his parents Peter and Alix Elsts, his nieces and nephews, and his son Sam.

Shawn had a wit and sense of humor in any situation. When he laughed, he could shake the walls. To all his nieces and nephews, his preferred name was "Cool Uncle Shawn." He had a child's heart. Shawn never met a stranger and could initiate in conversation with anyone. Shawn was void of any shy bones in his body and never withdrew from an opportunity to help someone. He will be dearly missed.
