Michael Douglas England, a devoted husband, father, brother, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on June 6, 1958, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Michael lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and a deep love for gospel music.
Michael was a self-employed master plumber for over four decades, a profession in which he demonstrated skill, commitment, and integrity. His expertise and work ethic earned him respect and admiration throughout his career. Beyond his professional achievements, Michael was a avid hunter. Additionally he was a longtime member of the Word of Life Full Gospel Church in Indianapolis, where he played an active and valued role in the church’s community. His passion for singing gospel music was a significant part of his spiritual life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Terry (Hanshew) England. Michael was a proud father to his sons Jeremiah England, Joshua (Chanda) England, and Joseph (Courtney) England. Additionally, he was a loving stepfather to Christi Kuhn, Steve (Laura) Kuhn, Jr., Bradley (Mary) Kuhn, and Nikita Hay.
Michael’s family extended with close bonds to his brothers Steve England, Paul (Wanda) England, Frank (Mary) England, and Rondal (Connie) England, as well as his sisters Ann France and Alice Richmond. He was also a cherished grandfather to Makayla (Tim) Kuhn, Steve (Skylar) Kuhn III, Kora (Seth) Slaughter, Ryan England, Braden Kuhn, Tessa England, Delaney Kuhn, and Karsyn Kuhn, Blakely Kuhn, Rebecca England, Monica Trigg, Luna England, Jenna Joyce, Isabella Ditto. He was also a great-grandfather to Edwin Esque, Stori Kuhn, and Sutton Lee Slaughter.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother Danny England and sisters Margaret Isenburg and Barbara Tuck.
Friends and family are invited to honor Michael’s life during the visitation held on June 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Word of Life Church, located at 525 S. Foltz, Indianapolis, IN 46241. A funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jan Vanover officiatiing. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
Michael Douglas England’s legacy is one of steadfast faith, dedication to family, and a love of gospel music that uplifted those around him. His presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit and contributions will continue to resonate within the community and among his loved ones for years to come.
