Mary L. (Applegate) Petty, 84 of Plainfield passed away May 16, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Petty; son, James Petty; sister, Jean Caffery.  Mary retired from Plainfield High School where she was employed as a cafeteria worker for 28 years.  She is survived by her sons, David (Peggy) Petty, Steve (Laura) Petty; daughter, Jo Ann (Jeff) Harpold; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary are 12pm Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, IN.  Friends may call from 10am until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
