Margaret "Marie" Kenley passed away peacefully early on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2021.  She was born January 12, 1925 in Richmond, Kentucky to Homer and Alma McDaniel. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Hazel "Pitsy" Turner, Jack McDaniel and William "Billy" McDaniel and her sons in law, Jeff Moore and Mike Pratt. She will be happy to reunite with her beloved husband of 72 years, Leo.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pratt, Peggy Moore, and Diane (Jim) Arnold. She also leaves her grandchildren, Casey and Brian (Karen) Pratt, Devany and Evan (Julie) Moore, James "JL" (Allison) Arnold, Jacob (Katy) Arnold.  She was blessed with sixteen great grandchildren who brought her great joy.

Marie spent 25 years of her life working at the Hawthorne Community Center, twelve as the Executive Director.  During her time at Hawthorne she started many important programs that are still serving the community today including the Teen Club, Early Childhood (Preschool) and the Dance/Drama Program.  She also worked hard to rebuild the facility after a devastating fire.  Marie was also a longtime member of West Park Christian Church.

Marie's family invites you to join them Friday, December 3rd, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at the Usher Funeral Home, 2313 West Washington Street for visitation.  Her celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Noon at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
