Linda Sue (Thomas) Rakes, 74 of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. She was born on Wednesday, June 11, 1947 to Joe E. and Elsie M. (Lloyd) Thomas in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, beloved husband Millard Rakes of 39 years, Brother James Read, sister Andrea Ridgaway of Orange Texas, stepson James Edward Rakes of Indianapolis, beloved granddaughter Kayla Keith, 3 great grand kids.

She is survived by daughter Lydia Keith of Indianapolis, son Kenny Keith of Indianapolis, stepsons David Rakes of Indianapolis, Jerry (Jamie) Rakes of Martinsville, stepdaughter Lisa Rakes of Indianapolis, 12 grand kids, 16 great grand kids, sister Kathy Hansel of Florida, Candy Martin of Mooresville, Tammie Stone of Troy MO, several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on December 2, 2021 at Usher Funeral home from 5 pm to 7 pm, service following at 7 pm
