Lennie Marie Young, 78 of Indianapolis passed away March 13, 2020.  She was born October 20, 1941 in Indianapolis to Charles and Beulah (Nester) Ashcroft who have preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Young; daughter, Ladonna Mendel and sisters, Elizabeth Morgan, Pauline Banks, Flossie Wise and Nancy Ashcroft.  Lennie was retired from W.I. Auto Parts where she worked as a bookkeeper for 28 years.  She had also worked as a Department Manager at Hills Department Stores.  Lennie loved slot machines, her Cadillac, Elvis and her family and friends.  Survivors include her son, Lonnie Eugene Young; grandchildren, Dustin Lynn (Melissa) Mendel and Kylie Marie (Michael) Carpenter; great grandchildren, Emilio, Maria and Skyla along with her niece and special friend, Nancy Shepherd.

Funeral services for Lennie are 11am Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 4pm-8pm Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
