Janice Marie Hughes began her eternal rest on the afternoon of Thursday, December 1st, 2022 in her home, surrounded by family.  Janice was born on December 15th 1946 in Chicago Illinois and grew up in Indianapolis, where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes and Arlington High School, from where she graduated.  Janice had three children - Thomas, Michael, and Teresa.  Michael proceeded her in death, having been a premature child who lived 11 days.  Janice was married for 25 years to Earl Duckwall with whom she had her children. She subsequently married Meredith Cline Hughes who proceeded her in death in 2011.  They were married for 18 years and enjoyed a life of travel and collecting. They spent their winters in Texas, and hardly staying put the rest of the year.  Janice enjoyed laughing above all else, and most of the time it was appropriate what she was laughing at.  She loved so perfectly it hurt her.  She was truly a beauty of Gods creation.  She is survived by her son Thomas Duckwall, her daughter Teresa Woods, her sisters, Judy Perfetto, Joan Weiland; her niece, Angela Hunter; her nephew, David Hunter; great nephews, Tyler Hunter, Gage Hunter, Alex Baecher; her great niece, Lily Hunter; grandogs Shiloh and Meka, and her very much loved yet scared to get on a table or couch kitty, Pepper.  A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 113 (1020 Hendricks Drive, Lebanon, IN 46052) on her birthday, December 15th from 4PM to 8PM.
