James Robert "Bob" Mason, 73, of Indianapolis passed away May 29, 2021.  He was born December 22, 1947 in Indianapolis.  He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Nellie D. Ade; grandmother, Lily Kerr;  brother, Mike Ade; sister Rikki Reeves.  Bob served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He served three tours in Vietnam and was discharged at the rank of Sergeant.  He had many jobs throughout his life.  His last job before retirement was as an over-the-road truck driver.    Bob was a member of the Speedway American Legion Post 500 where he had served as the Sergeant of Arms and as a color guard member. Bob is survived by his sisters, Jackie Buckner, Dawn Van Betten, Susen Nugent, Cindy Pitcock; brother, Christopher Ade; 25 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Bob are 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
