Harley Pinson, 80, of Plainfield, Indiana passed away on March 29, 2021 in Avon, Indiana. He was born to Jay and Gracie (Watts) Pinson in West Virginia on September 6, 1940.
Harley was quite the handyman, being involved in many hobbies such as whittling, fishing, going to garage sales, spending time at casinos, playing with drones, and constantly staying busy whether he was in the garage tinkering or finding something to fix. He loved being a part of such a large family. Harley retired from Milturn Corporation after years worth of a career in machine-operating.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Gracie (Watts) Pinson, his brothers James and Johnny Pinson, and sisters Georgia Ann Brooks and Jayetta McCloud. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Mary (Robertson) Pinson, his only son David Pinson (Tina), daughters Sandra Miller, Lisa Pinson-Herrera (Ariel), and Krystal Pinson-Chaffins (William), sisters Mary Alice Copley, Effie Mae Rakes, and Dakota Copley, brothers Ira Pinson, Freddie Sias, and Jesse Pinson, David's children Lindsey Pinson, Natalie Coakley, and David's grandchildren Clayton Coakley and Madalyn Coakley, Sandra's children Amanda Brackin and Ashly Brackin, Sandra's grandchildren Christopher Harley Brackin, Mary LeAnn Turner, Seaira Turner, Kylee Hodge, Jerry Harris-Brackin, Abigail Harris-Brackin, and Emily Harris-Brackin, Lisa's children Shai Perry (Kelsey), Toni Hill, Andres Herrera, and Alydia Herrera, Lisa's grandchildren Journey Hill, Kendrick Perry, and Kreedyn Stewart-Perry, and Krystal's children Jayson Chaffins and Logan Chaffins.
On Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 beginning 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., Usher Funeral Home will host Harley's visitation. In between Harley's visitation at 3:00 P.M., Pastor David Clayton will be officiating a funeral service in the chapel of the Usher Funeral Home.
