Ellen Marie (Carpenter) Wright, 77 of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was born on Monday, January 15, 1945 in Indianapolis, to Lowell Ike and Lula (Hanarah) Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Ike and Lula (Hanarah) Carpenter, daughter Jacquline Wright, brothers Mike Carpenter, Joe Carpenter, Ike Carpenter, sisters Rosie Carpenter, Evelyne Carpenter, 3 grandchildren.

She is survived by husband Richard Wright Sr., son Richard Wright Jr., daughter Veronica Wright, Bubbles Kelly, sister Molly Purvis, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, February 1, 2022 10 am to 1 pm, at Usher Funeral Home, followed by burial at Concordia Cemetery.
