Deborah S. Long, 67 of Avon passed away May 16, 2019.  Deborah was born January 24, 1952 in Washington, Indiana to John and Marcella Mackey.  Deborah was retired from the Indianapolis Public School district where she was a special education teacher for over 30 years.  She was also a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church and also was active in AMVETS.  She is survived by her husband, Gregory Long; brother, James (Peggy) Mackey; step children, Jeffery Phillip Long, Jonathon Jacob Long.

Funeral services for Deborah are 10am Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. Susanna Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5-8pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
