Carlie Bedford Wessel went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2024. He was born in Bedford,Indiana to Carlie Cooper and Katherine Kaye Wright on November 12, 1956. He was proceeded in death by both parents, step father Donald Wright, and sister Christina Begley. Carlie was married to Gloria Mae Wessel, and she survives. Carlie also had several children, Angela (Brian) Hebner of Trafalgar Indiana, Brandon Carlie Wessel, of Bunker Hill, Indiana. Amy Debruel (Nick), Michelle Hardman, and Angela Lee Lundy of Indianapolis. Grandkids, Haley, Shay, Jaycee, Chastin, Tyler, Cameron, Joshua, Cody, Omar, Devon Carlie, Danielle Michelle, Paul David, Michael Lee, Randall Lee, Daniel, Lee, Hannah Marie, Grace Olivia. Felicia Kayla and Ashley Hope. He also has several great grandkids and a few on the way. Carlie worked for Conrail as a track foreman for over thirty years. When he retired, he started his own construction company, Wessel Trash and General Remodeling in the late 1990's to early 2000's. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most importantly, he loved his family more than anything in the world. He will be missed by us all.

Funeral services for Carlie are 2pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Visitation is from 12pm-2pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Usher Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
