Monte Raven Woods

  Monte Raven Woods, 64of Indianapolis passed away April 15, 2017.  He was born January 16, 1953 in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund Woods; brother, Brandon Woods; grandmother, Clara Cochran.  Monte was a graduate of George Washington High School.  While there he excelled in football attended Ball State University on a football scholarship. Monte was independent, and loved motorcycles, music and dogs.

  Survivors include his son, Julius Woods; daughter, Angelica Woods Martinez; mother, Thelma Douglas; sisters, Fontane McAdams, Marcy Woods, Crystal Bartlett-Risotti; brothers, Kyle Woods, Loren Woods; former wife, Rhonda Woods; grandchildren, Christopher Sebastian, Jr., Lianna Martinez, Avery Woods.

   Services for Monte are Noon, Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Usher Funeral Home. Burial is in New Crown Cemetery. Friends may call from10am until noon on Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
