Elmer F. Leppert, 92 of Indianapolis passed away September 8, 2019. He was born December 7, 1926 to George and Mary Leppert who have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Leppert, William Leppert, George Leppert, Louise Leslie, Alma Evans, and Dorothy Evans. Mr. Leppert attended Indiana School for the Deaf, where he played football and basketball. Elmer was a retired machinist. He worked for over 50 years at PR Mallory. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and loved to travel, watch harness racing and many different sports on TV.
Survivors include his sisters in law, Pauline Leppert and Lenora Leppert; nieces and nephews. Barbara Jean (Sam) Carlson, Joan (David) Clippinger, Pete (Caroline) Wanner, Ann (Kurt) Magge, Caroline Sue Leslie, James Leslie, Robert (Sally) Evans, William (Trish) Evans, Rosie Adams, Richard (Pam) Evans, Anna (Greg) Leppert-Largent, Katherine Spencer, Mary Jane (William) Linhart, Robert (Christa) Leppert, Sally (John) Leppert-Ballard; many great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services are 11am Friday, September 13, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 10am until the time of services on Friday at the church. Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
