Hello everyone this Carman (papoose) as Uncle Paul used to call me when I was a little girl.I have many great memories of Uncle Paul as a child growing up in Columbus when I spent most of my time at Great Grandma Harden's house and at all of the Harden family reunions. He was always kind to me and would tell me many stories of his life, and of our Indian heritage which was so intersting to me.I remember him working on a car in the driveway and he would show me what he was doing .Uncle Paul would have to ask me to go in and get him a glass of Grandma Harden's iced tea or say don't you want to go and ride your bike or play around in the back yard because I would just sit there and watch him and listen to am radio. Those are just a few of the memories I have but they are the the best ones of my life.I did move away from Indiana when I was 9 and lost touch with everyone over the years but Uncle Paul was my still my favorite Uncle of all.I am so grateful that I was able to come to Indiana in 2005 and see him again for the family reunion we had although alot of years had passed since I had seen him he still remembered his little (papoose). As I sit here crying as I am telling this story I know that Uncle Paul is in a better place and I close my eyes I imagine that he is in Heaven with Grandma Harden and my Grandma Haase and all of his broters and sisters and they are having there own family reunion together and one day we will all join them.I love you all my prayers are with you at this time and I wish we could be back in Indiana to say goodbye to Uncle Paul.

Hi everyone it's Patty I wanted take this time to sign the condolence book.I wanted to tell some stories of my memories growing up with my Uncle Paul.I had some of my best memories when I was about 16 years old going to Texas with Paul and Aunt Jean. They took me to Galveston to the ocean to go swimming in the summer.Funny story when I was in grade school around 10 we didn't have a car and Paul would take me and David, and Cheryl to school in his 18 wheeler nowadays you would probably embarrass a kid if you did that but we were not too good to get a ride in a big truck like that we had so much fun.I always had fun going to Paul's house and spend the night and babysit Terry.Paul would take us to Columbus drive inn on dollar night what a blast we have!Again I will say some of best memories of our time together with Paul were the best of my life.I love all of you and I loved Paul.I know Paul is no longer suffering. My thoughts are with Becky,Terry, and Jerry Love your cousin Patty

Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
I love you, Uncle Paul. You always had a great sense of humor. I will miss the many fun times we had together and all the reunions.
Love, Cheryl
