Steven Ray Scott

Steven Ray Scott, 45, was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 11, 1970 and lost his life in a fatal motorcycle accident on July 9, 2016. Steve was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend.  He grew up on the West side of Indianapolis and is a 1989 graduate of George Washington High School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy to defend our country and served in Desert Storm. If you have ever met Steve, you will never forget his contagious smile that lit up the entire room. Steve's legacy will be carried on by his son Drew, mother Diana (Sue), 
step-father Jerry, step-mother Karen, four brothers; Jerry, Jesse, Jason and Justin, five sisters; Mandy, Stacey, Jenny, Jessie and Meagen, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and all of those who loved him. Steve will be greeted in Heaven by his father Donald. Steve had an impact on so many lives and he will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in heaven Steve, we will always love you. 
Please join us for a celebration of Steve's  life. Visitation will be held in the George Washington Community High School gymnasium on Thursday, July 14from 3-8 pm. Services will be at Usher Funeral Home on Friday, July 15 at 1 pm. The burial with military honors will be immediately following at West Newton Cemetery.
