Retha Marie (Fisher) Shockley

Retha Marie (Fisher) Shockley, 74 of Indianapolis passed away March 13, 2017.  She was born May 4, 1942 in Wise County, VA.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Sue Ferguson and her sister, Judy Spurlock.  Retha was a homemaker.  She was also a member of Speedway General Baptist Church.  She loved her family and the Lord.  She enjoyed shopping and was a wonderful cook.  She made the best brownies and biscuits and gravy.  She has won the race and is now home with the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Shockley;  daughters, Deborah Brattain, Angela (Bob) Brown; sister, Martha Moore; brother, Charles Fisher; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  

Services for Retha are 1pm Friday, March 17, 2017 at Speedway General Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11am until the time of services on Friday.   Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
