Mark A Holbrook

Mark Anthony Holbrook, Colts fan, Number One Dad, Favorite Uncle, Beloved Brother and Papaw was born on February 24th, 1961 and passed away at the age of 56 on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. He was surrounded by his family at his home in Plainfield where he lived with his longtime love Kristi Stanley. 

Mark was a one of kind person that was instantly loved by everyone. He was a very family oriented man and loved all of his family dearly. He was a strong support to all those that needed him. He would help anyone in need.  He never gave up on the Colts and didn’t like fair weather fans! Go Horse!

He was adored by his three children, Billy  Holbrook (37,The smartest kid), Jennifer Holbrook (35, Daddy’s girl) and Austin Holbrook (18, Dad’s favorite).  He had a daughter in law, Amber Holbrook and a son in law, Philip Smith. 

He took extreme pride in his grandchildren Lennox Tkachuk (13), Christina Smith (12),  Joey Smith (10) Haley Smith (8), Paige Holbrook (7), and Juniper Smith (2) for whom he was called “Papal” and was cherished by them all. He gave them too much candy and didn’t let their parents discipline them because they never did any wrong in his eyes. 

Mark had 4 siblings, Rick Holbrook (deceased) Jeff Holbrook, Nina Osburn, and Rose Holbrook. He was loved so much by all of them and he loved them greatly in return.  He had many nieces and nephews that he was very close to as well. Jason, Angie, Doug, Lana, Joe, and Anthony. 

Mark took fashion cues from no one. His wardrobe consisted of nothing but the best that Colombia, Nike, and Under Armor could provide. He was an avid Amazon shopper and had the best electronic devices that you had never seen anywhere else! 

He despised staying at the hospital and made it known to every nurse and doctor that he wanted to go home. This can only be viewed as his final protest.

Because of his request to not have his service held at a formal venue, the family is going to hold a Celebration of Life service on December 9, 2017 from Noon to 4:30pm at Eagle Creek Golf Course. He asked that everyone be happy and have a great time! No crying he said!

Finally, the family asks that in honor of Mark that you live every day to the fullest as he did, eat the cheeseburger, go to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and love like there is no tomorrow! We all love you so much Dad and will miss you forever!

PS: I know Jenny was always your favorite kid but it’s ok, we can let them think differently.
