Kathleen M (Kieffer) Abshier

Kathleen M. "Katie" Abshier, 85 of Indianapolis passed away July 6, 2017.  She was born March 22, 1932 in Indianapolis to Joseph and Matilda Kieffer who have preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Abshier, Jr.   Katie began her work career at Western Electric.  She retired from RCA where she had worked in the accounting department.  She was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Katie is survived by her sons, Dana (Debbie) Abshier, Tom (Debbie) Abshier, III, Jerry (Donna) Abshier; sisters, Bernadette "Bernie" Herbstreit, Marian Waddell; brother, Joseph Kieffer, Jr.; grandchildren, Deena Albin, Brian Abshier, Brent Abshier, Adam Abshier, Danny Abshier, Joe Kilmer; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Services for Katie are 11am Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Malachy Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-8pm Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Usher Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
