Frank J Smith

Frank J. Smith, 74 of Indianapolis passed away June 7, 2015.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold D. Smith and his sister, Elizabeth Ann King.  Frank retired from Blackmore and Buckner Roofing in 2002 after 46 years.  He started at Blackmore and Buckner as a roofer and was the Sheet Metal Superintendent when he retired.  He was a 50 year member of the Oakland Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.  Frank enjoyed spending his time away from work with his family.  He volunteered his time coaching his kids youth sports and building playgrounds and ball fields in Fishers.  Frank enjoyed weekend family trips to their river cabin in Shoals, Indiana where many great memories were made.
  He is survived by his wife, Linda J. Smith; children, Mandy (Bob) Wright, Jamey (Mary) Smith; grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Brandon Wright, Nick Wright, Thomas and Joel Smith; great grandchildren, James and Grace Wright; sisters in law, Susan (Rick) Fryer, Kay Courtney.
   Services for Frank are 11am Friday, June 12 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call on the family from 5-8pm Thursday at Indiana Funeral Care (8151 Allisonville Rd).   Usher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Online condolences at usherfuneralhome.com
