Carole (Jones) Day

Carole Jones Day 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospital.  She was the third girl born to Burke and Leona (Gootee) Jones on February 4th, 1932 in Loogootee, IN. Carole was a graduate Registered Nurse from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She worked with Dr. Charles Test for over 36 years. When Dr. Test retired, she was employed by Blue Cross Anthem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lillian Ellis and Berkeley Youtz.  Carole leaves behind her longtime companion George L. Landis. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters at St. Augustine Home, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN  46260.
