Alice (Rodriguez) Broenstrup

Alicia "Alice" Rodriguez Broenstrup, 93 passed away September 23, 2017 at St. Augustine Home for the Aged where she had lived for the past 9 1/2 years.  Alice was born in Sonsonate, El Salvador and became a US citizen in 1952.  She was preceded in death by her husbands,  Bronaugh Young Chambers who died in 1961 and Karl Heinz Broenstrup who died in 2015.  Alice had worked at Eli Lilly and Company, Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and was the Bilingual Secretary at the division of Migrant and Bilingual Education at the Indiana Department of Education. Following her retirement she was a receptionist for Attorney Edward F. Kelly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Augustine Home for the Aged where friends may call from 3-8pm on Tuesday.  Burial will be in Floydsburg Cemetery, Crestwood, Kentucky on Thursday, September 28.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged.
